Important Events

I am often taken back to what seemed to have been significant events in my youth.  I remember some Christmases, some birthdays, the event leading up to Mary Lou's death, etc.  I have said the following to my daughter and got an interesting response.  I said, "I wish I could remember putting my arm around you on the sofa and just holding you close".  It sounds a little dumb, but in many respects this should have been done often, and remembered.  I was somewhat surprised that she remembers that I did this.  I find this somewhat comforting, but how did I forget this small, but important episode in my life.  I guess what was important has changed as I grow older!  -- Enough
